Sunset & Burj

Posted: Friday, December 29, 2006 by Stained in

Yesterday my exams ended. It's such a wonderful feeling, no more educational tensions to deal with. I hardly studied. No wait, let me rephrase that, I did not study at all. The exams were okay, not a challenge [atleast for me]. Well I'm expecting to fail in one subject & hoping to pass in the other 3. But yay! Exams over.

So me & a couple of friends decided to go to the beach for a while. I love walking on the rocks. I like jumping from one rock to another[quite dangerous to be honest] trying to get to the end in the least amount of time. It was about 5, beautiful weather. As I got onto the rocks, a beautiful romantic sight met my eyes . I say romantic cause I would have loved to be there with my TD sitting on the rocks holding her. The sunset with the Burj al Arab on the side, a perfect picture waiting to be taken so I balance my self on a flat rock, remove my cell[a K750i] & took this picture...

One of the best pictures I've taken. I stared at it for a while just mesmerized by the scene that was unrolling in front of me. Beautiful...Just beautiful...
I was soo mesmerized that I forgot about my friends for a while. When I did get back to reality, I realized they were making there way back to the car.
Only one complain though, wish I had a better camera... :

Well next time I do hope to be better equipped, maybe I'll take Fud with me as I would like to use her camera... :)

Eid mubarak to all & a Happy New Year

Posted: Sunday, December 24, 2006 by Stained in

Got my first exam in about 9 hours & I haven't started studying. Me soooo screwed, have decided to stay awake the whole night so that I could stand chance to pass which seems highly unlikely by the rate I am going. But well I can hope for the best...ahhh!! Exams...the education systems were never meant for me... :S :S

A tale so exaggerated
That it damned its own meaning
Vanquished by every word that was said
Left to dangle by the edge

Never to be narrated
Lost in blundered thoughts
From good to bad
A phantasy to another Nightmare

Unearthing the forgotten pages
Untouched Lacerated
Bewitched Beguiled
By their own karma

A tale so exaggerated
From life to death
Pain to salvation
Left to dangle by the edge

Pictures, Walking, Abra.....

Posted: Tuesday, December 19, 2006 by Stained in

Whenever I'm in a hurry, I take the bus to the Abra station in Deira to take the abra to Bur dubai where I'm picked up by a friend. Its much more faster than taking the bus. Taking the bus [bus number 3] to Bur dubai [route: City Centre-Rashid hospital-Ghubaiba] is like a 1 hour nightmare.

Yesterday was one such day where I had to get to Bur dubai by 8:10am. So as I left home at 7:30am, taking the bus was not an option. So I walked to a bus stop where a few buses would have taken me to the the abra station. But as usual the buses are never on time plus there was traffic near Ghurair, so decided to walk till the abra station. Reached the abra station by 7:55am, got on & reached bur dubai at 8am. Ten minutes early & took several pictures, not bad compared to some other days when I'm usually late. Here are three pictures that are of some interest...

The date palms had attracted my attention on the previous day but didn't have time to take a picture. Its the like the six palm trees have a single root system. Next time I'll take a closer look.
The second picture is a mystery to me. Again I didn't have a close look at the plant so don't know what it was. It just reminded me of a sand dune/hill.
The third picture is when I was sitting in the abra. I usually take pictures of the sun with its reflection. But this picture came out unusually well, plus the whole setting looks nice [in my opinion atleast].

Hmm...I think I might do more of such posts as I do love taking pictures, just wish I had a Better camera. Till next birthday I assume.

Emptiness inside

Emptiness inside

The monster underneath the bed
Hidden horrors of Darkness
Every stain,
A sparkle of fear..
Shadows play the game
Loneliness remains an threat
Dreams are just nightmares
Every idea
Every step
Leads to a possible wreck
It may be a treasure
or nothing at all
Either way
Nothing would alter
The voice that rings
In the emptiness inside...

Here it goes

Here it goes

Here it goes
The moment of life
End of a star
The mighty old sky
Everything blurs
Night begins to fall
Death surrounds
A Finishing line
A mile away
But here it goes
All that was one
Broken apart..

End it all

End it all

As I watch this moment pass me by
I think about it in misery
Wonder where I will be tomorrow
Just hoping its not here
Or anywhere else
Cause it never changes
Where ever I go
Its part of the air I breath
In every scene I see
Eyes closed or open
It never ends
Passing me by
At every moment I live
Then live I shall not
To rid of it all
But just wished I had the strength
To end it all....

This is currently my wallpaper. Wish I had a chance to drive this amazing machine. While taking this picture I had the temptation to jump in & enjoy the feeling of being in a Ferrari but then the feeling passed cause it was parked at the hotel entrance with the hotel employees eyeing me with suspicion. day I shall rent this amazing machine[buying one would be too much of an expectation on myself], drive it at high revs to hear its amazing machine let out a roar behind me.....

Walking in the rain

Posted: Sunday, December 03, 2006 by Stained in

I love rain, Loved it all my life...Its the best...

My friend 'Ash' wanted to play Battlefield 2 at professionals in Karama, it was a challenge, my friends team[including me] versus this bunch of school going kids who had beaten us last time. It was raining & I wanted to get wet, so this gave me a perfect reason to get out of my house & enjoy the rain. Ash was in the area [Deira, Murraqabat], at his friends place. He asked me if I wanted him to pick me up on his way back to karama. I said no, I had this crazy idea, I had decided to walk all the way to professionals in the rain.

I left my house at 11:15, there was a slight drizzle. I began my slow walk[I was wearing my heavy CAT booths], I reached clock tower in about 20 mins, at this point of time it was raining quite hard. Another 10 mins & I was halfway on maktoum bridge. Stood there for some time, took many pics[I love my mobile for its camera, its a K750i]. Then carried on with my walk, reached rashid hospital, by now I was shivering, I was drenched. By 12:10 I was standing outside Professionals watching the various towers on sheikh zayed road covered by clouds, I could only see the pole of the emirates towers, it looked amazing

So I basically walked for about an hour in the rain.

“I love walking in the rain, 'cause then no-one knows I'm crying.” this quote

btw...we beat the school going kids 3-0....muhahaha....sweet victory
