Sometimes...

Sometimes you need to eliminate every happy thought from your mind...
Sometimes you got to shatter your own dreams...
Sometimes you have to push everyone away...
Sometimes has been done...

No matter how big or small your ambitions are; constant fortitude to achieve them is the best way ahead. In other words, baby steps are being taken, three more things done. Each step chipping off the person I don’t want to be and taking me closer to you.

SJ managed to at last bully me to go to Wildpeeta on the 25th. She’s been trying for ages to get me to eat there to break my immature resolute and help me get over this mental obstacle. In the end I’m just glad that it was with her I ended up going and not for some tweetup. The food tasted okay but it’s over priced for the size of the meal or the taste. Anyway that’s a shot of my fusion shawarma being made. SJ got me the Italian one and I had some orange juice as well.

Evading the Peeta

So I had to go to Wildpeeta yesterday for the Board Game Tweetup. I went, played and took a few shots which was the complete opposite of what I claimed I would do i.e. never go there unless I go with my CC. Fortunately for me, we were seated in the outdoor seating which allowed me to find a middle ground between my immature resolute and the tweetup. Basically I didn’t enter the main indoor section nor eat or drink anything which was great. Anyway from what I heard, a few tweeple were disappointed with their fusion shawarma meals as it didn’t taste as good i.e. compared to the last time they had it. So that!!!

So the tweetup I really want to go for i.e. the Board Games Tweetup is at WildPeeta this Thursday...damn it!!

Now if you’re wondering what the problem is then you need to read my previous post about WildPeeta. Now I need to decide what I want to do. Hmm...I have a feeling SJ might just end up dragging me along saying that I need to live my life just the way my CC is.... *confused & annoyed*

There are some things that I wanted to do with her by my side and this is one of those things...

Where's my Peeta

WildPeeta if you didn't know is a restaurant serving fusion shawarmas in Dubai since last year. Now for the past 5 months, they’ve been closed due to rain water flooding and were undergoing repairs/renovation that had been delayed several times. Today after the long wait, they have reopened and to celebrate that, the local twitter community is having a tweetup.

Being a passive member of the community I would have gone for the tweetup but I'm not. It might seem (from my previous posts) that I'm not going due to my rubbish socializing skills but honestly I've been in plenty of situations lately where I've been surrounded by a lot of people, managed to linger in the shadows, hardly talk to anyone and survive it even though I'm sure I looked like an idiot in the end. Thing is, even when WildPeeta had initially opened and everyone was trying it out...I didn't. Me and CC had decided to go there for the first time together but she being in the UK, I had to wait for her to come back to Dubai. She did come to Dubai in January but WildPeeta was closed then while when she was here in March-April, she refused to meet me but that didn't matter because it was still closed. Now she's back in the UK surely sad about the fact that she can't be here right now to go to the tweetup...without me obviously.

Anyway irrespective of what she would and wouldn’t do, I’m not going to go to WildPeeta ever unless I’m with her when she goes for the first time...just me and her. Might sound a little stupid, crazy and very immature but there are some things that I wanted to do with her by my side and this is one of those things however insignificant it might seem...so that.
