Jazz World at Jumeirah Beach residence ‘The Walk’ and Jazz Garden at Dubai Media City that are part of the Skywards Dubai International Jazz Festival 2011 are two events I’ve had the opportunity to photograph. It’s been a pretty boring experience to say the least bar one i.e. Neil Cowley Trio, who not only got a standing ovation at the end of their act by their sheer brilliance in what they do but also got me to stand up and notice as I watched them having a great time doing it all. In other words, it was the joy on their faces that was the main reason I enjoyed their music comparatively more plus the fact that the compositions by Neil Cowley (pictured below right) was foot tapping good and soul soothing brilliant. Neil Cowley is also the pianist in the group while Richard Sandler (pictured right) plays double bass and Even Jenkins (pictured below left) drums away. Who would have thought I’d like some Jazz music... ^_^
