Changing Lanes

Whenever I'm in a hurry, I take the bus to the Abra station in Deira to take the abra to Bur dubai where I'm picked up by a friend. Its much more faster than taking the bus. Taking the bus [bus number 3] to Bur dubai [route: City Centre-Rashid hospital-Ghubaiba] is like a 1 hour nightmare.

Yesterday was one such day where I had to get to Bur dubai by 8:10am. So as I left home at 7:30am, taking the bus was not an option. So I walked to a bus stop where a few buses would have taken me to the the abra station. But as usual the buses are never on time plus there was traffic near Ghurair, so decided to walk till the abra station. Reached the abra station by 7:55am, got on & reached bur dubai at 8am. Ten minutes early & took several pictures, not bad compared to some other days when I'm usually late. Here are three pictures that are of some interest...





The date palms had attracted my attention on the previous day but didn't have time to take a picture. Its the like the six palm trees have a single root system. Next time I'll take a closer look.
The second picture is a mystery to me. Again I didn't have a close look at the plant so don't know what it was. It just reminded me of a sand dune/hill.
The third picture is when I was sitting in the abra. I usually take pictures of the sun with its reflection. But this picture came out unusually well, plus the whole setting looks nice [in my opinion atleast].

Hmm...I think I might do more of such posts as I do love taking pictures, just wish I had a Better camera. Till next birthday I assume.
